Live Music Events in Valencia

When you think of Spain you may immediately think of Flamenco. Yes, this is indeed the hallmark musical expression of the Spanish people. Valencia is a hotbed for Flamenco (perhaps not as much as Andalucia).


Remember though, this is not the only music available for you listening pleasure. After all, one of Europe's biggest and most famous International Music festivals, the Fib in Benicàssim takes place in Castellón in the north of the region. The festival has seen acts as diverse as The Cure, Lou Reed, Kraftwerk, Massive Attack, Tortoise, Radiohead, Oasis and Franz Ferdinand.


In the city of Valencia itself you are spoiled by choice when it comes to the range of musical styles and venues available. On most nights of the week, but especially from Thursday to Sunday, you can choose between a darkly lit Jazz club or a heaving rock venue to a lively Flamenco session or a rousing classical music concert.
