Canovas
The Canovas part of town is an area stretching from the dry riverbed of the Turia as far as Rusafa. The hub of activity is on the streets around the Plaza de Canovas. The main avenue called Gran Via Marques del Turia is the sight of many fine bars and pubs. This part of town is also very popular with Stag nights and Hen parties, both local and visitors alike. The places that stand out include Saint Patrick's Irish pub, Gibson's cocktail bar and La Dama.
The Blasco Ibañez Avenue
This is the long avenue running through the University part of town in the heart of student territory. Here you can expect to find the bars and pubs open all day. In the nearby Plaza del Cedro a few bars have Live Music nights, where you will also find the cafe Infinito, the perfect place to start the night. The same can be said for Polo y Perelón, a street that runs perpendicular to Blasco Ibañez. The more hectic and manic nightclubs and dancehalls run up and down the avenue. The ones to check out include Murrayclub, el Asesino, Black Note and Rocafull.
The Beach
In the summertime the sea front of Valencia is bouncing with lively pubs and clubs. The beaches of Las Arenas and La Malvarrosa spill their suntanned visitors into the many nightspots that open until the wee small hours of the morning. One of the finest establishments on the beachfront is Diablito. The 24 hour party place called Vivir Sin Dormir, which means to live without sleep, is a bit of an institution down of the beach front. They open all day serving snacks and later transform into a club serving cool cocktails until it's time for morning coffee again.
